This Privacy Policy explains how Loop (“Loop,” “we,” “us”), provided by
Rainbow Oasis, collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Loop mobile app.
Loop is a private app for sharing short video answers to daily prompts with a small circle
of friends. By using Loop, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your phone number (used to sign in via SMS code),
the first name you choose, and an optional profile photo.
- Contacts (optional). If you grant permission, we use your contacts only
to help you find friends who are already on Loop. We never message your contacts and never
upload your full address book for advertising.
- Your content. The videos and audio you record, and the prompts you answer.
Content is delivered only to the specific friends you choose for each send.
- Device & usage data. A push notification token (to deliver alerts),
app and device identifiers, and basic log/usage information needed to run and secure the service.
How we use information
- To create your account and let you sign in.
- To record, store, and deliver your videos to the friends you select.
- To send notifications you’ve enabled (new videos, replies, prompt reminders, streaks).
- To keep Loop safe — to operate moderation, enforce our Terms, and respond to reports of abuse.
- To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the app.
How we share information
- With friends you choose. The people you select receive the videos you send them.
- Service providers. We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore,
Cloud Storage, and Cloud Messaging) to authenticate users, store data and media, and deliver
notifications on our behalf.
- Legal & safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to
protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or the public.
- We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
About AI-generated prompts. Loop’s daily questions are generated by an
AI service (Microsoft Azure OpenAI). The prompts are generic and are not personalized to you —
your personal information and your videos are never sent to the AI service.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at
any time in Settings → Account → Delete account. Deleting your account removes
your profile, friend connections, and the content stored for your account. Some records may be
retained briefly where required for legal, security, or backup purposes, then deleted.
Your choices
- Permissions. You control camera, microphone, contacts, photos, and
notification access in your device Settings.
- Notifications. You can turn off push notifications at any time.
- Access & deletion. You can delete your account in the app, or contact us
to request access to or deletion of your data.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored with our cloud provider’s
security controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect
your information.
Children
Loop is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information
from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us.
International users
Loop is operated using cloud infrastructure that may process and store information in the
United States and other countries. By using Loop you consent to this processing.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise
the “Last updated” date above.
